Why Dim Sum are hotter than Jennifer Lawrence

Dim Sum is the most famous Cantonese dish in North America, even in some sushi restaurant, we can also find dim sum. In south China, many people used to get up early and go to the restaurant to have some morning tea which is called Yum cha, they can order some dim sum at the same time to enjoy their morning. Thus, Yum cha has became a traditional culture in Guangdong province. When people yum cha, they would order dim sum.

In Guangdong province, when you have a seat, the waitress will give you a blank bill and a pot of hot tea. The target ladies will push carts of food through the restaurant and pass your table. If you find out your favourite dishes, you can ask them stop and select it. After they bring you the dishes, they would stamp your bill in order to record the dishes you ordered. At the end of meal, you can just use the stamp in bill to pay. (If you need more information about dim sum, you can go through the everything you need to know about dim sum.)

There is a video that shows the dim sum in Guangzhou.

The phrase of Dim Sum in Chinese means "touch the heart" which shows that even the small dishes of food served in a luxury brunch, it still impressed. Most dim sum are streamed which means they are healthy to eat without any extra oil.

I would like to introduce 10 best dim sum you need to try:

1. Steamed Shrimp Dumpling

People who like shrimp have to try this one. It seems like dumpling, but it has different dumpling wrapper. The dumpling wrapper is softer and chewy with the whole shrimp inside that is worse to try.

2. Siu Mai (Steamed pork/chicken/beef/shrimp dumpling)

Siu mai has many favours which contains pork, chicken, beef and shrimp. You can choose the meat you like because different meat has different taste. It is one of the traditional dim sum.

3. Lo Mai Gai (Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaves wrap)

In my childhood, my grandma really enjoy eating this. I think the reason why is that the sticky rice has the flavour of lotus leaf wrap, instead of  taste of steam rice, it is chewy and delicious with chicken inside.

4. Stuffed Bean Curd Pork/Shrimp Rolls

People who likes tofu need to try this dish because the wrapper is made of tofu. Soy sauce can bring up the taste of shrimp with tofu wrapper.

5. Cheong Fun (Rice Noodle Roll)

Cheong Fun is everything I need in my daily life because it is the breakfast I would have everyday. There are many different method to cook it, but it is one of the traditional breakfast for people who live in Guangdong Province.

6.Steamed Beef Tripe with Ginger

Steamed beef tripe is fresh to try. With ginger and chopped garlic, the beef tripe is springy to taste. Suggest to everyone who likes steamed food.

7.Steamed BBQ Pork Buns

It is similar to chicken buns, instead of chicken, we use BBQ pork in this bun. The wrapper is soft and sweet to try.

8.Glutinous Rice Dumplings

A sweet rice shell that contains pork and shrimp.

9.Egg Tarts

A flaky pastry crust filled with creamy egg custard. I think it is not hard to find because most Chinese supermarket or dim sum restaurants will have it.

10.Steamed Pork Ribs

Pork ribs steam with the whole black beans and oil, sometimes it has some peanuts inside.

11. Steamed Chicken Feet (Depend on your prefers)

I know this is the dish that most people don't want to try, but it is really delicious! Don't treat it like chicken feet, just think it is a part of chicken.
